VOTING SYSTEM

HOW IT WORKS

Every year, INKaMON runs 4 three month long seasons in which players compete in two metas: the fixed official meta, and the changeable experimental meta. The experimental meta has two parts: popular, in which only popular designs can be used, and unrestricted, where any recently submitted designs can also be used. Players, for a small fee, can submit designs to be tested by the community. Increase your voting power (glory) by winning battles!

At the end of each season, designs with negative popularity are removed while all popular designs roll over and the 28 most popular become the next season's official INKaMON and are permanently added to INKaDEX!

🎨 MONSTER SUBMISSIONS

Any player can pay to submit their own personal inkamon design to be evaluated by the community. Once submitted, designs cannot be altered. Designs will stay as part of the game as long as they remain popular, and the best designs will make it into the official INKaDEX.

🗳️ VOTING

The core of INKaMON is its voting system. Players can vote on inkamon designs and artwork they like, with their voting power determined by their glory. Every 3 months, votes are tallied to inform the next season of inkamon.

⚔️ METAS

There are three metas for inkamon battles:

OFFICIALThe fixed official meta which only changes every 3 months. Contains the 28 most popular inkamon from the previous season.
POPULARAny monster currently more upvoted than downvoted can be played in this experimental meta.
UNRESTRICTEDAll current designs can be played, regardless of popularity.

Winning games in any meta gives glory!

⭐ GLORY

Glory is the currency of power in INKaMON. It determines your voting weight and can be earned in several ways:

  • • Winning games: The winner gets 1 glory, the loser gets 0.
  • • Challenge matches: You and an opponent can bet different amounts of glory on who will win.
  • • Staked matchmaking: Stake glory when matchmaking to only match with players willing to battle for increased amounts.
Season Rewards: Glory resets each season. Players with 1000+ glory at season end receive one stellar inkamon per 1000 glory!

📅 SEASONS

Each year has four seasons:

FEB - APR→MAY - JUL→AUG - OCT→NOV - JAN
At the end of each season:
  • • The 28 most popular inkamon become the next season's official meta.
  • • These inkamon are permanently added to the INKaDEX.
  • • Alternative artworks that are unpopular are deleted.
  • • Season rewards are distributed to players.

🖼️ ALTERNATIVE ARTWORK

Anyone can submit alternative artwork based on other inkamon designs, up to a limit of 28 per season.

  • • Any player can vote on alternative artworks.
  • • You can pay to unlock all alternative artwork for an inkamon name, allowing you to change how any inkamon with that name displays to you by default forever.
  • • The original designer of an inkamon has all alternative artwork unlocked by default.
  • • Designers may toggle the default artwork displayed to other players between the original art and the most popular alternative.

STELLAR INKAMON

Unlike alt art which only displays for the player who has selected it, stellar Inkamon display for opponents as well. They can be bought in the shop or won as rewards: Stellar Inkamon will be given to the top 7 players each season, and players who submit a design which makes it into the official meta will also unlock that design as a stellar.

📜 CONTENT POLICIES

Inkamon designs are expected to be child-friendly. Designs infringing on the Terms of Service will be removed with no compensation.
